Trailblazing the future of chiropractic

Network Spinal

is a pioneering approach to chiropractic, centered on the extraordinary intelligence of the human nervous system.

Developed by Dr Donny Epstein, NetworkSpinal is a specialised chiropractic approach that uses precise, exceptionally gentle contacts along specific areas of the spine to encourage greater body awareness, adaptability and self-regulation.

Rather than relying on forceful “cracks” or attempting to correct individual spinal structures through external forces, NetworkSpinal works with the body's own responses and ability to correct itself. Its aim is to help the nervous system recognise and develop new strategies for responding to tension, high physical demands, aging, stress and the demands of everyday life.

At its heart lies a powerful principle: the body is not simply something to be fixed, but a remarkably intelligent system capable of learning, adapting and changing.

NetworkSpinal invites us to look beyond symptoms and explore a broader possibility for spinal health, nervous system function and human wellbeing.

At Go Beyond Chiropractic our commitment is to principled, nervous system based chiropractic, always.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND OUR APPROACH

Exploring the
research.

NetworkSpinal has been explored through published research examining quality of life, spinal dynamics and nervous system activity. Discover the studies and the questions they continue to inspire.

01 / THE FOUNDATION

NetworkSpinal: Clinical Objectives, Components, and Considerations for Research-Informed Care

Donald M. Epstein · 2026

A comprehensive overview of NetworkSpinal's development, its gentle, individualised approach and the research informing its clinical framework. The paper explores spinal coherence, adaptability and the body's capacity for self-organisation.

02 / QUALITY OF LIFE

A Retrospective Assessment of Network Care Using a Survey of Self-Rated Health, Wellness and Quality of Life

Blanks, Schuster & Dobson · 1997

In a survey involving 2,818 people receiving Network care, respondents reported positive changes in physical and emotional wellbeing, stress and enjoyment of life. These were self-reported experiences rather than proof of a causal treatment effect.

03 / THE NETWORK WAVE

On a Standing Wave Central Pattern Generator and the Coherence Problem

Jonckheere et al. · 2010

Researchers measured electrical activity in muscles along the spine and identified rhythmic, synchronised patterns associated with the Network Wave. The findings help characterise this phenomenon, although its clinical significance requires further study.

04 / AUTONOMIC FUNCTION

Improvement in Heart Rate Variability in 46 Patients Undergoing Chiropractic with Network Spinal Analysis: A Retrospective Analysis of Outcomes

Knowles et al. · 2017

A retrospective analysis of 46 patients investigated heart rate variability, a measure of the changing time intervals between heartbeats. The authors reported improvements during care, warranting further controlled investigation.
